Bama Bound Sign: How to Make a Logo-Free One
The Bama Bound sign reads I’M BAMA BOUND on a red banner. What to write without a logo, sizes that work, how to print it at home and how to photograph it.

The Bama Bound sign is the red banner from the meme’s punchline, and it reads I’M BAMA BOUND. To make your own, you need only those words: I’M on the first line and BAMA BOUND on the second, in big white capital letters on red, with no logo. For holding it over your head in a photo, a banner about 6 feet wide and 2 feet tall (180 × 60 cm) is a good size.
What the original sign is
In the original post, from September 16, 2026, slide two shows a real University of Alabama banner. Besides the big I’M BAMA BOUND, its small print carries the university’s name, its slogan and its script-A logo, each marked ® as a registered trademark, plus #BAMABOUND. The meme only needs the three big words. The full story of the post is on what the Bama Bound meme is.
Search results for “bama bound sign” also show yard signs and banners for sale, some with the university’s branding. Those are for students who really got in. The meme’s banner is a homemade joke, and it is easy to make.
What to write on a logo-free sign
- Line one: I’M
- Line two: BAMA BOUND
- Nothing else: no university logo or script A, no ® or ™ marks, no slogan, no mascot, no houndstooth pattern.
White capital letters on red stay readable in a photo, even when the photo is small on a phone screen. University logos and slogans are trademarks, and The University of Alabama marks its own with ®, so plain words are the safe choice, and all the joke needs.
For another school, write I’M [SCHOOL] BOUND: fans posted versions like I’M BOULDER BOUND, with “Applied to Boulder as a joke” on slide one. Use the school’s name or nickname as words, not its logo.
Sizes that work
| How you’ll use it | Banner size | Letter height |
|---|---|---|
| Held overhead by one person, for a photo or video | 6 × 2 ft (180 × 60 cm) | About 8 in (20 cm) |
| Held by two or three people | 8 × 2½ ft (240 × 75 cm) | About 10 in (25 cm) |
| Carried all day with a costume | 3 × 1½ ft (90 × 45 cm) | About 3½ in (9 cm) |
These sizes assume block letters about two-thirds as wide as they are tall, which a bold, narrow font such as Impact gives you. Leave about half a letter height between the two lines and a margin of a few inches all around.
Print it at home for free
The quickest way is our logo-free banner file: PNG or PDF, 11 × 4.25 inches at 300 dpi. Print it in color on letter-size paper, or print two copies and tape them side by side for a wider banner. It reads I’M BAMA BOUND and nothing else.
You don’t need a template file. A home printer and letter-size paper are enough for the 6-foot banner:
- In any word processor, set the page to landscape and put one letter on each page, in a bold, narrow font such as Impact, with the font size set to several hundred points so each letter nearly fills the page.
- You need 11 letters: I, M, B, A, M, A, B, O, U, N, D. Cut the apostrophe from a scrap.
- Print each letter as an outline or in light gray, then cut along the line so you keep a white letter.
- Draw two straight guide lines on the banner in pencil or chalk, lay the letters out with even gaps, and glue them down.
Make it
- The red part: a red flat sheet, felt or a plastic tablecloth, or red poster boards taped together from behind.
- The letters: printed and cut out as above, or cut from white felt, white duct tape or white fabric paint.
- To keep it flat: a wooden dowel or a length of pipe taped or hemmed along each short edge, so you can hold it by the ends.
Photograph it for slide two
- Pick bright sun and an open spot with sky behind you.
- Hold the banner high over your head with straight arms, look up at it and laugh.
- Have a friend shoot from a little below, so the banner sits against the sky.
- Warm up the colors when you edit: the original has heavy color grading.
Then post it as slide two after an ordinary photo captioned “applied to Bama as a joke”. How to do the Bama Bound trend covers the posting steps, the sound and the AI label.
The banner in our videos
Every video from this site shows the same logo-free banner: a wide red cloth with I’M on the first line and BAMA BOUND on the second, in big white capital letters, and nothing else on it. The person from your photo holds it overhead in a sunny field of tall grass with pine trees behind, looks up, laughs and jumps, with an AI-made crowd cheer.
No banner to make and no prompt to write: one photo gets you an 8-second 9:16 MP4 at 720p, and one HD video is $7.99, one-time. Make your video. The banner always reads I’M BAMA BOUND; other schools are not available yet.

Questions
What does the Bama Bound sign say?
I’M BAMA BOUND, on a red banner. In the original photo it is a real University of Alabama banner with the university’s name, slogan and logo in small print; the meme only needs the three big words.
Can I put the University of Alabama logo on my sign?
No, leave it off. The university’s logo and slogan are registered trademarks, and the joke works with the words alone.
How big should a homemade Bama Bound sign be?
About 6 feet wide and 2 feet tall (180 × 60 cm) for one person holding it overhead, with letters about 8 inches (20 cm) tall. For a costume you carry all day, 3 feet by 1½ feet (90 × 45 cm) is easier.
Is there a free Bama Bound sign template?
No official one, and you don’t need it. Print one big letter per sheet of letter-size paper, cut the letters out and glue them onto red fabric or poster board, as this page shows.
Does the banner in this site’s videos have a logo?
No. Videos from this site show a wide red banner with I’M on the first line and BAMA BOUND on the second, and nothing else: no logo, no letter A, no ® mark.
